An Ode to Spring

Four high school boys who were afflicted with spring fever skipped morning classes.
After lunch they reported to the teacher that they had a flat tire.
Much to their relief she smiled and said, "Well, you missed a test today so take seats apart from one another and take out a piece of paper."
Still smiling, she waited for them to sit down. Then she said:
"First Question: Which tire was flat?"

Hello?

It's for you...

My niece found this little treasure and brought it to me because it's really up my alley .
I painted the trim in black and added the fun text message upholstery.
Gone are the days of being tied to a 3' curly cord while you catch up over the phone,
but it doesn't hurt to "sit a spell", either.

TOP 10 DRAWBACKS TO WORKING IN A CUBICLE

10. Being told to 'Think outside the Box' when you're in a box all day long.
9. Not being able to check e-mail attachments without turning around to see who's behind you.
8. Fabric cubicle walls do not offer much protection from any kind of gunfire.
7. Always having that nagging feeling that if you press the right button, you'll get a piece of cheese!
6. Lack of roof rafters for the noose.
5. The walls are too close together for the hammock to work right.
4. There are 23 power cords but only ONE outlet.
3. Prison cells are not only bigger... they also have beds.
2. When tours come through, you get lots of peanuts thrown at you.
and the Number One Drawback to Working in a Cubicle. . . . .
1. You can't slam the door when you quit and walk out.

--Joke of the day

So consider finding a way to work from home.  The fridge is close and the chairs are cuter, like this little gem:

A seat at the table

These chairs were given all fresh foam, cotton, and upholstery just before the holiday.
It will make sitting at the table for that great meal and long conversation
 much easier on the "buns".

Pun intended.

Kristen and Brittany

Dizygotic Twins, Fraternal Twins, or Non-Identical Twins...

Whatever you call them, these mid-century modern chairs came from the same "place" but are distinct in looks and personality.  They can't deny the close relationship, but they each have their own---fabulous--- style.

Twenty-seven years ago, my BFF and I had babies within a week of each other.
I was having my third child, and my friend was having her first...and second!

When the three of them were little, we got them together for a play date.
One of the twins whispered to her mother, "Where's the other one?"

It's nice when things come in two's.

Twins are a miracle, but I remember my Irish-Catholic mother's prayer:

God, give me as many children as you want,
but please give them to me just one at a time.

Here's to the mothers who can handle multiples...

Vi savne Dem, Princess Helen

No, I didn't start out typing on the wrong "home row".
It's Danish.  And it's my best shot at translating: We miss you, Princess Helen.
Enough said.
